About Us

Background and establishment of the office

On September 16, 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed six Senior Special Assistants for Community Engagement across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. This initiative aims to foster inclusivity and regional representation in governance and underscores Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring that diverse voices and perspectives are integrated into the decision-making process, enhancing community development and cohesion.

The appointments of these Senior Special Assistants highlight a deliberate effort by President Tinubu to bridge gaps between the government and local communities, fostering dialogue, understanding, and collaboration. It is a proactive approach towards addressing regional needs and concerns.
